Tiny Swirl Cake Pops

My neighbor ordered some cake pops for her and her girlfriends and I wanted to do something different, so I tried little tiny swirls versus the large ones I had been doing…the results were adorable!

These cake pops were chocolate cake dipped in a white vanilla candy coating with chocolate swirls...yum!!

Batter Up! Baseball Cake Pops

Someone at work had asked if I could make two dozen baseball shaped cake pops for her son…my answer was absolutely!! I had never made them before and wanted to make sure everything was perfect and spot on, so I ended up buying a little bouncy ball designed as a baseball. I am more of a visual person, so this worked great for me! The first couple of baseball cake pops were ok, but towards the middle/end of doing them, they turned out perfectly!! I was very happy with the results!

I put the pops in a metal bucket to represent the chain link fence of a baseball field, used Easter “grass” for the grass on the field, and after putting the pops in, it really set the theme!! It looked wonderful!

Cake Pop Sampler

With all of the cake pop flavors and ideas out there, it’s hard to pick just one, so when I decided to do a “sampler pack” to bring in to work, I chose four :) Most people I work with directly have tried the cake pops I have brought in over the last few months; however, there were still those who had never even heard of a cake pop, let alone tasted one.

I ended up making over 100 cake pops; 50+ for two different locations where I work and had four flavors; peanut butter delight, orange creamsicle, cheesecake, and one I have never tried before; crushed Oreos mixed with cream cheese that were in the shape of a cupcake. I won two cupcake molds from Dolce Drive and they arrived last weekend, so I had to try them! If you don’t know what a cupcake mold is, check out the website; My Little Cupcake Pop  and you’ll fall in love with them too!

Both batches of cake pops lasted less than hour!! I received some very nice emails about how yummy they were and had some requests to make some for birthday parties, baby showers, and everything in between :)

Peanut Butter Delight

Vanilla candy coating…been there; chocolate candy coating…done that. Peanut butter…bingo!

When I think of peanut butter, jelly is the first word that comes to mind, but unfortunately they do not make a jelly flavored candy coating (hey Wilton, this is a hint for a grape/strawberry candy coating!) so the next word I think of is chocolate!

I made chocolate cake and mixed it with chocolate frosting and then dipped the pops in a peanut butter candy coating. I used chocolate sprinkles to add some flare to the pops and more flavor. They tasted like a well known chocolate/peanut butter treat…but cake pop style!
These cake pops were one of four flavors of the sampler pack I brought in for work and were a huge hit with everyone :)
